I stopped briefly into the Ontario Pavilion, only to discover Wayne Gretzky was making an appearance. Shortly after I arrived, security stopped letting anyone else in, until Gretzky’s presentation was done. Gretzky showed up with his Ozzy partner in the wine business, and they talked about wine for a bit, and then free samples of Gretzky’s wine were made available. Fruity and sour, with no body, it’s a pretty bad wine. I think many people, initially pumped about Gretzky’s appearance were nonplussed about all the wine talk. Gretzky did take time to sign lots of jerseys at the end and struck me, as he always does, as a genuinely nice guy.
